چکیده
Maresin-1 is a derivative of omega-3 fatty acids and show anti-inflammatory effect in cutaneous inflammatory diseases, such as psoriasis. On the contrary, these actions might unbeneficial effects inflammatory-required wound healing. In this study, we investigated maresin-1 on healing detailed molecular mechanisms. Topical was daily applied wounded mouse skinin vivo, influence evaluated. The significantly delayed maresin-1-treated skin. A skin sample taken day 7 showed impaired re-epithelialization determined by measuring lengths wounds within re-epithelium treated mice, whereas length unaffected. addition, keratinocyte proliferation evaluated counting Ki67-positive cells also unaffected treatment. had no migration vivoby time-lapse imaging observation. Among re-epithelization-related cytokines skin, whole comprehensive analysis that TNF-αsignificantly decreased Maresin-1-treated suggesting suppressed cytokine profile lesional mediated TNF-α.

Wound cleansing, topical antiseptics and wound healing.
Quality of care is a critical requirement for wound healing and 'good' care of wounds has been synonymous with topical prevention and management of microbial contamination. Topical antiseptics are antimicrobial agents that kill, inhibit or reduce the number of microorganisms and are thought to be essential for wounds infection control. However, they have long and commonly been used on wounds to...

Evidence-Based Answer Topical silver should not be used for treatment of nonburn wounds because it does not hasten healing. (Strength of Recommendation [SOR]: A, based on a systematic review of randomized controlled trials [RCTs].) Medical-grade topical honey can be used to reduce healing time for partial-thickness burns, but it produces no effect on lacerations, surgical wounds, chronic wounds...
متن کاملThe Effects of Topical Sildenafil on Wound Healing in Rat
Nitric oxide (NO) is an important molecule synthesized during wound repair. Studies have reported the use of NO donors on cutaneous wound repair, but their effects in different phases of healing are not elucidated. The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of topical sildenafil on wounds in rats. Sildenafil (25 mg) was topically applied once daily on wound in treatment groups. On...

RESULTS: In the wound bed, Keap1 siRNA treated mice decreased Keap1 gene expression (55.4 ± 22.9%; p=0.004) and protein expression (94 ± 0.42%; p=0.038) compared to controls. Downstream protein expression of Nrf2 increased (3.27 ± 1.63 fold; p=0.039). The expression of antioxidant genes, NQO-1 and MnSOD-1 increased (4.99 ± 0.1 fold; p=0.04 and 3.66 ± 0.2 fold; p=0.01, respectively). The express...
متن کاملLIM-only protein Fhl2 impairs skin wound healing
In recent years, considerable progress has been made in understanding the role of growth factors and cytokines in wound healing. These factors are released from injured vessels and coagulated platelets and trigger an infl ammatory response that initiates the deposition of a provisional extracellular matrix. In parallel, mesenchymal and endothelial precursor cells invade the wound to form the gr...
